Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my house. I am a self taught photographer and my pets , usually, are my models.

Time

It was taken right after lunch time, around 2, 3pm. It is when my cats are more relaxed and friendlier towards the camera.

Lighting

I just a wanted the image to capture the sweetness in my cat's eyes and he is a tiny gentleman indeed, so I took advantage of the beautiful sun rays on my porch and tried to find a good angle to highlight his tenderness.

Equipment

Actually I don't remember exactly... I guess it was taken with my cellphone . I usually have both my camera and my mobile close at hand.

Inspiration

My pets are my companions most of the time, I just wanted to show how lovely my cat, Reggie, was.

Editing

Yes. I usually resort to Lightroom and Snapseed to remove uwanted pieces of information.

In my camera bag

My Canon T5 and an old Canon PowerShot.

Feedback

Don't try it too hard. Become an attentive observer of your surroundings, that includes your pets and family members. Live the moments before you capture them. I usually collect better results when I see myself as a part of the environment.
