Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during a trip in Norway, exactly in lofoten, during a cold winter time (about -25°C)

Time

It was about 5pm, the sun behind the mountain was down, and only the sunrays appeared

Lighting

When i arrived at the spot, only one thing was in my brain "i'd like to shot this pic as it is : mysterious, dramatic, but also really calm and like in dreams". The lightning was just as i needed, so the most difficult was to prepare the stuff before the light disappear !

Equipment

I used a Canon 5d3 with a 24-105, a Mefoto Globetrotter tripod, and a Nisi V5 CPL filter.

Inspiration

I was looking to shot a rorbu (fisherman house) alone with nothing around it. I was looking also to the snow, the sea, to be like in a dream. Mission accomplished (in my opinion !)

Editing

The post processing was only to up some colors in the sky, because in the real life, they were really colorful, but not in the RAW pic.

In my camera bag

I have only landscape lens, ND and GND filters, and small stuff like towel, and, of course, 2 cameras.

Feedback

Do not search the perfection. Only search to take a pic which is realistic. The less modified it is, the most it is awesome. Prepare to wait in the cold weather to have good conditions !
