This photograph has got the highest Number of Likes and Comments both on National Geographic and 500PX Website. It shows the magnificent Nun Kun Massif (7600 meters) in the Great Indian Himalayas notably the Zanskar Valley in Leh Ladakh. It is one of the most arid and dry Regions in the World with Temperature dropping to belows -50 Degree C in the Winters. There is no proper road to this Valley and one has to take great risks but worth the efforts. This probably would rate as one of my finest Landscape Clicks.I have toned the photograph to bring the sharpness of the Mountains and the background Clouds.I hope you like it

Location
This Photograph was taken in the Himalayan Region of Zanskar in the Northern Himalayan State of Jammu and Kashmir (India)Time
This is one of my favorite Image of the Himalayan Range extending from Bhutan in the East and all the way to Karakoram Range in the West. Here it showcases the mighty massif of Nun Kun Peak in the Zanskar valley and I had to wait for the right light conditions some time after 3 PM to take this shot with the Sun setting down in the horizon and the orange and red rays of light striking this massif and beautifying itLighting
I waited for whole day till around Sunset so that the orange rays from the Sun can lit up this Himalayan massif and I could then capture this mighty peak in it's beautiful varied colorsEquipment
The Equipment used as Canon EOS 300D Digital,Shutter Speed 1/500 sec,ISO 100,Aperture F10 and Lens Canon 300 mm and No Flash was usedInspiration
I have always loved Mountains and been drawn to them since my early Childhood because I was born in Kashmir (India) which is in the lap of the beautiful Himalayas. So this bonding with Nature led me to this remote region in Himalayas with no road and air connectivity and rugged conditions with extreme temperatures plummeting to below -50 C in the winters .But was worth the efforts to get this fantastic ImageEditing
Yes I took three frames -5 EV, 0 EV,+5 EV and merged them in the HDR Tool namely "Dynamic HDR" and created this HDR shot to bring out the beautiful contrast of the Clouds and depth in the PhotographIn my camera bag
This was an old Photograph and now I have bought Nikon Full frame (Fx) Camera kit and my kit comprises of Nikon D610 Camera body,Nikkor 300 mm Lens, Nikkor Wide Angle Lens (14-24 mm Lens)Feedback
My suggestion to all is that the Photograph should tell a story and for what that be patient till Nature shows you beautiful colors to capture on your Camera. At end of day it's all about passion, patience and experience with understanding the Light and colors
