Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the main train station in Frankfurt, Germany.

Time

It was early in the morning and while many people (including me) were waiting on trains to arrive, I strolled the station with camera.

Lighting

The station's rails are covered by a semi-transparent glass, which does a great job of filtering light, illuminating the station below.

Equipment

This hand-held shot was taken with a small Sony DSC- WX9, a great little camera for travelers who cannot or choose not to carry their larger gear. Such was the case on this trip. I left me big shooters at home.

Inspiration

The construction of the station's roof feature strong lines of force above, which narrow to the end of the station. It just draws you in.

Editing

Didn't shoot RAW, so only some basic post processing in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

I normally carry a recently acquired a Canon 5D Mark IV with Canon 24-105 mm lens and an older Canon T2i with Canon 10-22 mm lens.

Feedback

I love to travel. Love landscapes. I find that photos present themselves in all settings, it all depends on the light. My advice is to shoot, shoot and shoot.
