Love this capture of a beautiful model. Reminds me of the retro show "Soul Train" in the 1970's which I loved as a teenager. :)

Location

This photo was taken in my home studio in Johannesburg South Africa

Time

I love studio as we can control and stabilize our lighting, and time is not important

Lighting

I wanted to play with the curve and the shadow on the wall, so just moving the lights around a little until you get what you want. I use a very simple set up of two soft boxes and often just the one to create a mood.

Equipment

This image was shot with my Canon 5D mk3 and I used my 24-105 lens

Inspiration

The garment inspired the pose and it just all worked with the model and her hair and the lower angle

Editing

I converted this image to black and white and burned the shadow a bit to stand out more...no more processing was done on this image

In my camera bag

I carry my Canon mk 2 and 3 my macro lens and my go to lens the 24-105 plus my 85mm

Feedback

I normally plan every last detail of my images, it saves time and frustration.As per this shot you need to know where to put the light to get a hard shadow, it is better to experiment before hand
