This abandoned Morque is/was part of a Hospital somewhere in Europe. This Hospital part was still in use.Time
We heard about this Morque and searching for more info, we heard that it was abandoned with all the materials still in it. So we planned our trip and made sure we arrived when it was still dark outside. A window should be open. After arriving there was a lot of activity around this Hospital and we made sure that we parked our car a bit out of sight. This was in another Country and because we had foreign license plates, we did not want to make ourselves suspicious. O.k.....time for action. That window was indeed open. So we went in and had to wait for an hour for the sunrise. We could not see anything in this Morque and could not use our torch because of the people outside. During the Sunrise we had enough light to start taking pictures in here. With the first sparkles of light we could see what this place actually was/is and we were stunned by this creepie place. Creepie...yes, but this is also a part of everybody's life.Lighting
The natural light was not that good, so I started taking pictures on bracketing mode with shutterspeed on 30 sec with the Camera on a tripod.Equipment
Camera Canon 6D, Lens Canon 16-35 mm, Tripod and NO flashInspiration
The thingsyou don,t get to see in life, but everybody knows they exists...that are the things I want to see and capture. To let people wittnes the story behind old buildings and abandoned places.Editing
All pictures are shot in the RAW format, so I have to post-process them all. I use Lightroom and Photoshop for this Job. The picture is mostly what you see is what you get, but with Post-processing I try to add the specific athmosphere to it, fitted with the corresponding place where I shot the picture. In my camera bag
Camera, lens, Batteries, Extra memory, Torch, handgloves (for glass splinters all around), Passport........Feedback
This so called "Urbex"is not totally legal and the laws are different in each country. Be aware that every place belongs to somebody. You are tresspassing and if the Police shows up, be polite and show them your passport. Never go in a building when it is locked. Only enter when it is open. Leave everything how it was before you entered. Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but pictures. Never go alone , because of the Dangers. You can fall, break a leg or anything else and you do not want to be alone in these cases when you need help.
