This shot was taken in Gablenz, Germany. It's called rakotzbrucke, a 19th century bridge that forms a perfect circle.Time
I woke up early to drive 8 hours just to shoot here so I arrived a few hours before dusk as I shot for a few hours from all angles until sunset.Lighting
It was a normal Partly cloudy day for this particular shot but when the sunset came. It was absolutely amazing.Equipment
I use with a Sony a7. The lens I used was a kit lens 24-70mm at the time. Since then I've upgraded to a zeiss 16-35mm. I also used a Manfrotto befree tripod. I think it's time to upgrade to carbon because it gets heavy!Inspiration
Instagram. I do alot of research online for places to go explore and shoot and I came across this on a popular photographers page and I knew immediately I had to go there. So while I was in Germany for 6 months, I took advantage and went. Even though I took over 300 photos,i still think I need to go back for a sunrise and sunset shot.Editing
So I picked up a camera September of last year and I took this in april of this year. I was relatively new to shooting and still learning how to shoot since I'm self taught. Same. Goes for post processing in lightroom. I did the basis adjustments but I also did stack 3 photos to combine 1,hence the three of me walking over the bridge. There was only one other person here, an older gentleman so I asked him to hold down the shutter as I walked across the bridge. I knew in post processing I was able to create something unique and the came. Out to be one of my most liked photos! In my camera bag
Now I carry a mins hit bag that has my graduated ND filter, big stop ND filter, polarizer, and then a cleaning kit. I carry two lense, a 70-200mm Sony fe f4, and the zeiss is my goto lense for most. Shots. I'll also carry a hammock by grand trunk goods. I am an ambassador for them and I love their hammocks. Other than that, it depends if it's night or day shooting.Feedback
Go early or late to beat the crowd. Be patient and wait until the time is right for that perfect shot. If you are looking for something creative like my shot, then have a friend with you to help out. Rumor has it that rakotzbrücke is one of the most photographed places in Europe so take advantage of it now.
