Location
I took this image at badlands National park while on a road trip across country.Time
The time of day was late morning since we had an early start to explore the parkLighting
We were driving around the park and parked near an Overlook and saw a few bison near the horizon. We hung out for a awhile and noticed this particular slowly made its way near our car. As he got. Closer we were kind of scared but intrigued so we kept our distance but were still close. We had a car in between us. Finally he was in the parking area and decided to find a short stubby pole to scratch itself for. About 10 minutes straight. Quite amusing actually.Equipment
I was. Able to capture this image with my Sony a7riii with a 70-200mm handheld. I was able to capture the image at a full 200mm.Inspiration
Wildlife intrigue me. They seem so calm yet unpredictable so that gave the experience more excitement.Editing
I wanted to do a Black and white edit on top of a standard color image. Bnw images are fun and challenging to edit so I guess it turned out well.In my camera bag
Sony a7riii, Sony 16-35mm f4, Sony 24-70mm f2.8 gm, and Sony 70-200m. Peak design cf tripod. Filters and remote along with a back up Sony a6000. i also carry a DJI mavic air 2 in a nomatic bag.Feedback
Situational awareness. Animals are unpredictable and can be dangerous even though they seem friendly. Keep your distance and be aware of your surroundings incase an animal comes charging at you.. Be quite to not startle the animal either.
