Location
This photo was taken on the Silver Springs River in Florida while I was kayaking. Not many people realize that this very specific area of Florida has wild Rhesus monkey tribes that were brought in in the 1950's while Tarzan was being filmed there and many escaped at the time and have breed to continue on.Time
Mid AfternoonLighting
Lighting completely varies. It was a sunny day but it has a very mottled appearance as it feels very jungle like down the river.Equipment
Canon Rebel T3iInspiration
I was following a tribe of monkeys down the river. Whole families playing in the water, drinking, grooming each other, and looking for snacks from tourists. I looked up and this lone baby monkey was looking at me posing like he was waiting for his photo op.Editing

I keep my bag light, especially in this instance as I was traveling in a kayak. Just camera with zoom lens and regular lens for up close shots I might have come across.Feedback
This river in Florida is a great place for capturing local wildlife. Not only monkeys but lots of different species of birds, alligators, turtles, and sometimes bears! Best way to capture it is on the river in a kayak over a noisy motorized craft and take your time. Most of the wildlife is fairly use to people and if you are slow and steady will let you get fairly (though respectable distance) close to them.
