Thank you to all the photographers that shared their best photos showing wildlife in distant habitats in the Wildlife In Remote Places Photo Contest with chances to win an AFAITH® ProfessionalMagnesium Tripod Monopod, a Manfrotto MB NX-BP-VBU Backpack and more!

"A successful wildlife image is one that artistically tells a visually compelling story, often elucidating a fleeting behavioral glimpse into an animal life that prompts emotion within us. To freeze a moment in time and create an image with mood and feeling is any photographer’s greatest challenge. Composition, lighting, exposure, selective focus, etc. must come together to invoke a response whereby the viewer is transcended from his world to the world we have put before them. In photography, there is no separation of aesthetics and technique; the creative process provides the viewer with an interpretive vision of our choosing." - Charles Glatzer

A special thanks to friend and professional photographer Charles Glatzer for his collaboration as a guest judge. Charles Glatzer is a Canon Explorer of Light, the prestigious group is comprised of dozens of the most influential photographers and cinematographers in the world, each a master of their creative specialty. Since founding Shoot The Light in the mid-nineties, Chas has cemented his place in the world as one of the top wildlife photographers working today. His dynamic and inspirational teaching have also made him one of the most sought after workshop instructors, educators and speakers in his field.
