Behind The Lens

Location

VÎk, south Iceland.

Time

Shortly after sunset.

Lighting

The thick cloud cover extinguished any cool light but did set the other worldly scene.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D750 with a 28-300mm lens with a big stopper.

Inspiration

I had seen various photos of the rock formations at Vîk and really wanted to get my own take on the scene.

Editing

This was one exposure edited it in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

I always carry my big stopper for my 28-300mm lens and don't leave the house without my 14-24mm Nikon lens.

Feedback

Always go out and try whatever the forecast. I got rained on and I got taken out by a wave and had to fly home the next day in soaking wet boots.
