My daughter and I had our hearts set on a “Where the Wild Things Are” theme. We live in an area that has lots of woods so it was not hard to locate this little opening in a patch near our home.Time
We were shooting on a cloudy day at about 3 pm. Ya know, after lunch and lunch nap. There was not much sun to cause any issues.Lighting
Total natural light. Thankfully it was a gloomy cloudy day. Having very little sun made this day so much easier.Equipment
I am pretty sure I used my Nikon D90 (could have been D40) with kit lens to take this shot. That’s it! I like it simple.Inspiration
My grandson reminds my daughter of the little boy from the book “Where the Wild Things Are” so we decided to have a shoot! We had to borrow the outfit from my daughter’s friend and by the time we got around to taking the pictures he was almost too big for it.Editing
Just adjusted the lighting a tad, a few small blemishes, and a slight vignette. In my camera bag
I am a KISS girl... Keep it Simple Silly! Usually just my Nikon D750, the kit lens, and then I have 3 primes... 35, 50, & 85.Feedback
Never have expectations with your own (grand)children. It does not matter what you threaten or bribe the little boogers with, it’s going to be their way. ????
