Location
This was taken in Afghanistan. Camp Leatherneck/Bastion 2009 while I was deployed there. The flight line was being built and throughout the year it supported more and more aircraft as operations increased. Each evening everyone would simply stare at the sunsets created in the desert sky.Time
Evening sunsetLighting
The sunsets which created the lighting for many of my photos were simply amazing in Afghanistan.Equipment
Canon 40D, I forget what lens I used. I did ruin one while there with the fine dust that seemed to get into everythingInspiration
I went on the deployment to Afghanistan with my camera intending to get photos that I may never see again. this is one of those shots.Editing
I don't believe this photo had any post processing but not too sure.In my camera bag
Canon 5D MkII with the 70-200 mm lens, 50 mm lens, Tamron 100 mm macro, and Tamroon150-600 mmFeedback
I am not sure what advice I can give that I haven't mentioned in other photos but if you have the passion and you love photography then let that speak through your photos. find the shots you want and don't expect them to find you. You need to get out there.
