I took this photo in a cultural park in South Louisiana known as Acadian Village...it showcases 19th century homes to depict the Acadian architecture.Time
This particular photo was taken just as the sun was starting to set.Lighting
I waited until the sun was setting for this photo to capture the natural soft lighting coming through the window upstairs in this old Acadian home.Equipment
I was using my Nikon 7100 and a 18-55mm lens.Inspiration
This model is actually my sister-in-law and she was wearing her mother's wedding dress for this photo shoot.Editing
For this photo I simply lowered my saturation and then warmed the photo slightly. In my camera bag
My Nikon d7100 with my 50mm on the ready and I always pack a macro! I keep lens filters and a cleaning kit in case I'm going through swamp :)Feedback
My advice for this type of shot is use your natural lighting to your advantage...if it means waiting an hour for the right moment the sun is setting over a tree or building then wait...it's worth it every time. And most of all have fun and don't be afraid to try new things.
