Location
This photograph was taken at Fountains Abbey Studley Royal National Trust in Yorkshire.Time
This is one of my favourite photographs I have captured of the cloister at Fountains Abbey. It was in the middle of the day when I took this photograph and I managed to get the sun coming through all the window gaps creating some lovely shadows and highlighting some gorgeous stone work.Lighting
I only used natural lighting for this photo, which worked out pretty well for what I was trying to create.Equipment
The camera I used for this photograph was a Panasonic DMC-FZ200. I then added the distress look to the photograph in photoshop elements.Inspiration
I just really wanted to take something that resembled the historical features of the abbey, and this really helped with the added photo effect I created in photoshop.Editing
After I took the photograph, I loaded it into Photoshop elements 11 and adjusted the lighting and then put a vintage filter on it in the effects toolbar. This made the photograph stand out and I'm very pleased with how this photo has turned out giving it great depth and intrigue. In my camera bag
In my camera bag I always carry a spare SD card as I tend to take a lot (and I mean a lot) of photographs of the same thing in different angles. I always think it's better to take more then less, so a spare SD card is a must for me. I then have a camera lens brush cleaner. A polarized filter and a UV filter. And then my camera.Feedback
If you are wanting something that resembles history or anything vintage and retro that I suggest a relevant subject matter. Get low down if its architecture and try to capture every detail that is provided for you.
