This photo was taken along the outskirts of a little city nestled in the mountains of Southern VermontTime

Natural lightingEquipment
I used my Sony a55 & Sony 55-200 lens.Inspiration
The overcast skies and dull wintery landscape seemed like the perfect black and white.. I watched the huge puffs of smoke billow from a nearby smoke stack and it was a naturally beautiful sceneEditing
Yes. I made two copies of the image and adjusted the lighting and contrast of each one a little differently before blending the two layers back together in PSIn my camera bag
I bring a small backpack that fits my camera, extra lens, collapsible tripod, extra filters, batter charger & extra battery, extra memory, & lens cleaning cloth.Feedback
My camera bag is like a second purse and comes with me everywhere. My best advise is to bring your camera everywhere because you never know when you'll stumble into crazy weather , an awesome animal or other newsworthy drama.
