Location
I took this photograph in an area of my region called Valli di Comacchio, it is a marshy area characterized by marshes where there are several houses for eel fishingTime
This shot was born almost by chance, I was at a lunch with friends and before sitting down at the table, to make some shots I took a ride in the area that is very characteristic because often shrouded in a suggestive fog. It was about 11 am.Lighting
The fog that enveloped the whole place made the light very soft and diffused, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere, but at the same time mystical.Equipment
I shot freehand with my Nikon D7000 and the Nikkor 16-85 that I use as everything to do.Inspiration
The mystical fog and the diffused light gave me a feeling of calm and relaxation, I was just trying to take pictures that would transform this, when I saw this network alone immersed in the water and fog I realized that it was the shot I wanted .Editing
The black and white always deserves a careful post production, this seems a simple shot, but I had to work a lot on contrast and clarity to concentrate the attention on the wire mesh and at the same time maintain the dreamlike atmosphere that I was seeingIn my camera bag
Normally I try to travel light, the Nikon D7000 or the Sony a6000 with an all-purpose lens 16-85 or 16-70. With me I always have ul 19mm f / 2.8 or a 35mm f / 1.8.Feedback
Less is more. I always recommend to observe well the scene and to remove everything that is not necessary to the image, also to tighten with the zoom helps to focus on the subject, often the images milgioni are those that have a minimalist imprint. For photos like these it also serves the atmosphere, so look for ponds or marshes that in the morning or in the evening present a diffused fog, so the light becomes magical.
