Location
This photo is taken in Whitburn which is a coastal village in the North east of England, nestled between the city of Sunderland and the town of South Shields.Time
I took this photo on the way back from work, around 6.30 pm in 2013.Lighting
The image is taken using natural light however I think I serendipitously hit the golden hour of Sunset.Equipment
I used my Nikon 3200D and my basic 18-55mm lens.Inspiration
The windmill in Whitburn every spring for the past few years has been planted with seeds and when it flowers it creates this beautiful meadow. I thought as I went to work that day that on my way home I would stop to take some photos as it looked really beautiful. I arrived just as the sun was starting to set and it created this beautiful light which hit the meadow in just the right way that enhanced the colours of the flowers.Editing
I did use Picasa software to process the image, I used the saturation tool sparingly to enhance the colours of the flowers and the sunset. In my camera bag
I have my Nikon 3200D, basic 18-55mm lens, Sigma 70-300mm lens, UV filter for lens, spare batteries & spare SD cards.Feedback
To capture an image like this look for the most picturesque location, try to aim to have something which is aesthetically interesting in the Background and also in the forefront of the image so it creates some depth to your image. I fortunately hit golden hour by accident, but going out around sunset in the Spring/Summer will definitely be helpful to you to create that beautiful Au-natural glow which will help your photo pop.
