Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken on a field behind our house. Different species of birds go there to eat and rest.

Time

It was taken around 7-8 o’clock in the morning of September 22nd this year.

Lighting

The lighting was great, it gave the photo a serious feel or mood. It wasn’t sunny that morning, it was a little cloudy.

Equipment

This was shot using Nikon d3400 with my 70-300mm lens handheld.

Inspiration

I always see great photos from photographers using reflections, so I tried to do it too. And I got this photo.

Editing

Yes, I did recover the shadow of the bird and increased the saturation of the photo. It was also cropped to isolate the subject and its reflection.

In my camera bag

I always have my main body, kit lens, 70-300mm lens, 50mm f1.8, extra battery, and sd cards in my bag.

Feedback

My tip is to get higher than the subject so you can show the full reflection. Human’s to bird’s eye view is what I recommend.
