Behind The Lens
Location
I took this just outside our house. I saw a blue car parked with the sun behind it so I used the car as a foreground element and got this shot.Time
I took this before the sun sets. Around 5 to 6pm.Lighting
The light was soft unlike the typical sunset where it is bright and golden.Equipment
This was shot using my Nikon d3400 with Nikkor af-p de 70-300mm handhold.Inspiration
My mom inspired me to take this photo. She always tell me that the sunset is beautiful and that I should take a photo of it.Editing
This photo didn’t need a lot of work. I only leveled the horizon as I shot this handheld and increase the contrast a little bit.In my camera bag
I only have few equipments in my bag to make travels easier. I have my Nikon d3400 with Nikkor 50mm 1.8d, kit lens, and my favorite 70-300mm lens. I also have with me a coolpix point and shoot camera and an action camera. I always bring extra cards and batteries too.Feedback
Sunsets are great, but if you keep on photographing them in the same place or time, then you will get bored. So try to be creative! Look around you and use the elements in your surroundings for your advantage. Also, try shooting in different weather conditions like cloudy days to get that soft and bluish sunset.
