It's hard to get good firefighting photos. Unless you're a member of the press, you rarely get a chance to get close enough to capture the action in anything better than a "journalistic" sense of "there was a fire and I got this photo" sort of thing. You managed to really get the feel of the action of the ladder being extended over the building and the flames. Great use of Deep DoF and, even in the heat of the moment, it's well composed and framed. Congrats to you on this excellent photo.
