USA, California, Santa Monica- This skate -boarder enjoyed the festive environment on the THIRD STREET PROMENADE in Santa Monica were large status called Catrine figures that are skeletons dressed in formal clothing. These figures remember the died and on Nov. 2 to honor adults. Today, Día de los Muertos is celebrated mostly in Mexico and some parts of Central and South America. Recently it has become increasingly popular among Latino communities abroad, including in the United States. The origin is a old Aztec festival in honor of Mictecacihuatl (Lady of the DEAD). In this photo I edited the photo to enhance the composition to get rid of distractions on the street. This fellow was so nice.I wanted to get a person in the frame for scale. He road his skateboard into the frame and gave me a spontaneous charismatic pose! I was greatful! After this quick photo the fellow continued down the road.
