Conceptual Street portrait photography. The title I chose for this image is a as much a statement about being a photographer as it is about the person in this artistic street portrait. A study of waiting, patience and preparation for a hoped for conclusion. Taken at some distance from a low POV along the quayside at Aberaeron in Ceredigion, Wales, during an early summer evening this man was leaning out of the side window of the famous blue Harbourmasters House . He was looking towards the far end of the key waiting for the moment that he was called with his group of Pallbearers to carry a giant mackerel down to the beach for its final moments on a funeral pyre ( I kid you not , this is British life at its best).
