I was on a quiet walk around the lake and had no intention of shooting anything. It struck me that the lake and dock had no one on them, the sky was cloudless and the air was unusually still. I had to capture the moment! So, I moved slowly and carefully onto the dock to avoid disturbing the water. As I lay on my stomach, with the camera sitting low on the dock, I realized this composition was going to be one of my personal favorites.

Each day people walk right past amazing perspectives and imagery - too busy to take a couple of steps to the right or left and see what's there.

Taken on Pearl Street in Boulder after an early snowfall. The image fades to monochrome as you move up and back.
