I took this photo during a hike in Vermont. There was a break in the trees that revealed this beautiful and calm lake.

Time

This was taken in the late morning on a cloudy day

Lighting

The cloudy day allowed for a more detailed and serene image of the trees, mountains and lake.

Canon EOS 5D Mark lll; 50mm lens

Inspiration

I wanted to capture the peace I felt when I stumbled upon this beautiful spot on my hike

Editing

I adjusted the contrast in various parts of the image as well as the exposure

In my camera bag

I typically have my Canon EOS 5D Mark III, my 50mm lens, an extra battery and SD card. This is my go to combination especially when I am out exploring nature
