One of last years fawns, now a yearling buck, watches over the youngest of this year's fawns in a protective and affectionate manner. We think the small fawn is a male because he is very independent and spends a lot of time with three yearling bucks. The local wildlife has been struggling with our long drought, but a good amount of rain, after this photo was taken, is helping to green up the grass.
