Location
"The Needle" is a famous "you have to go to" spot on Madeira island, PTTime
This shot was taken during sunsetLighting
First i used a ND64 filter to smoothen out the motion of the sea. On top of that i used a ND8 grey filter to get more details in the foreground without overexposing the skyEquipment
I used my Sony A7III, a 14mm 1.8 GM @f16, tripod, nd64 & nd8Inspiration
All places on Madeira are inspiring. But this one is special, the scene, the object, the mood at sunset, those rocks. Its just like that you know you have a great shot before you even took it.Editing
Yes, but only some slight micro-adjustements in blacks, whites, highlights and saturationIn my camera bag
Most of the time only my A7 III, a 14mm 1.8 (I just like the look of this ultra wide angle lens) and if there is a second lens with me, it´s a 28-75 2.8 standard zoom.Feedback
Know your gear and edit the shot in your mind before you even take it.
