This was taken in Paris at the famous Pont Alexandre III bridge, the most ornate bridge in Paris, and I think maybe in France. I was on a photography workshop which each day starts around 2pm. Since I wanted another location as well, even getting up at 4:40 was not early enough to get to Pont Alexandre III bridge from our hotel, so I rushed and caught a taxi down there. And boy was it worth it. That week I had a goal with several places I saved on Google earth-Google map. I only had 8 days in Paris, so I wanted to make the most of it. So we had the mornings to explore or take photos, do tours etc. All of which I did. The best time for colour are around sunrise and sunset, so I was up at around 4:40. I took some photos of Pont Neuf and headed here to Pont Alexandra III just in time for these glorious rays of magenta and gold. It was like photographer's heaven.
