Built in around the year 1901 which is the year that four British Colonies, those being Victoria, New South Wales, Queenland and South Australia joined together to form a Nation state that being Australia.
The lighter colour bricks are a recent extension to the original building which apart from damage repair remains pretty much how it stood back then.
The original bricks were constructed from material from the creek located at the bottom of the hill about 500 metres away.
The pioneering family that ran the farm later became very well know for the quality of the famous Merino sheep that the ran on the very large property which is now sudivided into still large acreage. At the moment beef cattle are run on the property as are horses. The nearest town, Bridgetown, is about an hours car drive away.
