Location
This photo was taken at a small community not far from my home. On my off days from work, I sometimes pack my gear and take off looking for photo ops. I was heading for a small community church for some photos. As I crossed these tracks about 1/4 mile from my destination saw a place to park the car and take some photos. Thise was actually the first time I had a chance to photograph train tracks.Time
This photo was taken in the midmorning (9am). I find I like looking for photo opportunities in the morning. I really like the early morning sun and depending on where I'm heading, it is less crowded and better for nature shots. And it also means I have more time to look for more potential photos.Lighting
Natural lighting was used. It was a little overcast, but the midmorning light and the gray clouds added to the ambiance of the photo.Equipment
I took this photo with my Canon EOS Rebel T6 and Canon EF I hav75-300mm zoom lens.Inspiration
I've seen many similar photos on ViewBug and other photography sites. I saw an opportunity to try something new and work on improving my skills.Editing
The only post-processing done on this photo was removing the color and making a B&W photo out of it.In my camera bag
As an amateur photographer, I don't have a lot of equipment (yet). In my bag I carry my Canon EOS Rebel T6, Canon 35mm macro lens, 50mm Canon lens, 18-55 Canon macro zoom lens, and Canon 75-300 zoom lens. I will normally take a tripod and my Sigma 160-600mm zoom lens as well. I normally decide when lens to start with before heading out based on what I want to photograph.Feedback
