Behind The Lens

Location
I took this photo in May 2022 during my trip to the remote tribes of southern Ethiopia
Time
If I remember correctly it was in the morning
Lighting
Shooting in the morning has an excellent advantage, especially when it comes to photographing children, the light is soft and not contrasty, and it gives a haunting feeling to the faces of our subjects. If you want to take a flattering portrait, take your subject into the shade or shoot in the early morning or evening before sunset.
Equipment
Sony A7 camera, Sony 24-70 Art lens No flash and no lighting aids
Inspiration
Children always bring out the best in me I love photographing children especially when they are smiling because it lets you forget your personal troubles for a short period and focus on the smile. Seeing children laughing and smiling in Africa, it has a different feeling. Children who suffer from deprivation and difficult living conditions and still continue to smile, this teaches you a lesson in life, that with all the difficulty in life you should continue to smile and see the next future, maybe it will be better than it is now
Editing
I made the image black and white and some refinements and lighting corrections
