Walking around Tienen
Long ago, many railway beds were built in Tienen that collected sugar beets from the farmers for miles and miles and then brought them to the Tienen sugar factory.
With the advent of freight traffic, where the trucks could reach the field, these railways fell into disuse.
These have now been replaced by concrete roads that can now only be used by walkers and cyclists, resulting in many kilometers of walking and cycling pleasure.

Tienen is a City where many music festivals are organized.
This was the music-Fesitval Vlaanderen Sings on De Grote Markt just in front of the church
