The belfry of Mons is one of the more recent among the belfries of Belgium and France. This belfry, classified in Belgium since 15 January 1936, belongs to the major cultural patrimony of Wallonia.
With a square footprint, 459,000 bricks make up the walls, and a spiral staircase of 365 steps connects the various floors. The exterior is made of Ecaussinnes blue stone. It has a height of 87 meters and 49 bells.
