Candid Action Portrait photography in Black and White. Taken at The Bearded Theory Festival , in Staffordshire, UK in 2016. ' The Body Electric', was taken before I had access to good quality kit but as part of a personal project taking the intimate and unusual moments of Life at festivals around the UK and the World. This musician was one part of an amazing female trio who had an immense talent in performance and skill with various eclectic , and electronic versions of traditional musical instruments. The title clearly gives a nod to the Whitman poem and its influence on musical creativity , but also to the physical body of the Cello in its most funky form , and the way the human body shapes and moves during use of an instrument in a stage performance.
