Candid Dog Action Portrait in a Nature setting. The photograph gets its title, ' Long Way From Home ', because this beautiful dog taking in the last of the days sun at the beach was actually a dog that had been rescued from Greece by some British travelers. One of two dogs that the couple found on the street , the dog comes from a newly established breed called, Kokoni. Both dogs were nearly starved and very dirty when they were found stumbling about near some bins in the street , so the tourists took them to a local shelter and left them there on the proviso that they could come back and claim them when the dogs paperwork and passports had been sorted out. Both dogs are beautiful , but also suprisingly friendly and gentle despite their ordeal. A long way from the place they were born in but not a long way from , "home".
