"Destroyed by time and termites" This photo was taken in my backyard where I have two huge grafted avocado trees, called "Pollock". The fruit are huge, usually not less than 10 to 12 inches tall, creamy and delicious! This particular tree is about 65 years old. Sadly the trunk and branches are riddled with termites and are now mostly hollow.Time
This was taken early in the morning.Lighting
Early morning light under the cover of the leafy branches of the tree.Equipment
Canon Powershot SX40 HSInspiration
The hollow trunks of the tree have in the past been home to a colony of honey bees and this particular branch was home to a mother opossum, called a Manicou in Trinidad & Tobago, and her four babies. I also liked the look, texture and pattern of the remaining wood of the trunk. Not to mention the wild ferns growing on the trunk because of the dampness of our rainy season.Editing
Minor sharpening and light adjustments particularly to enhance the texture of the wood.In my camera bag
