Such personality captured. ☺️Chuckled at babies coping with bad hair day while mom remains intact. Well done!

Location
Belive it or not photo was taken in my back yard. The nest was across a 20 foot wide pond behind my house, it runs about one and a half blocks long.Time
Photo was taken at morning with direct sunlight falling on nestLighting
It was a cloudy day with sunlight occasionaly coming through clouds. I waited for when the sun wad directly on nest.Equipment
I used a Nikon Z7ii with a Nikkor F mount 300mm zoom lense.Inspiration
The birds are Yellow Crested Night Heroins the first pair built a nest three years ago. They will come back to the same nests Year after year. Each year some of the hatchlings come back and build nests and start families of their own. We now have eight pair at various spots on the pond behind my houseEditing
I shot the photo in camera raw and used Light Room Classic for basic adjustments in contrast, exposure, color correction and dodge and burn areas of photo. I took photo into Photoshop to remove some distracting twigs, I also blurred parts of photo to make birds the main focus of photo. In my camera bag
I have a Nikon Z7ii with 24 to 70 zoom lens, a 70 to 200 zoom lens, a 2x extender lens and two Lens babbys a 24mm and 80mm. Last but not least a tripodFeedback
