Behind The Lens

Location

Photo was taken at Hilton Head Airport in South Carolina

Time

Phoro was taken in late afternoon with sun at half way from over head to horazion.

Lighting

bright sunny day scattered small clouds

Equipment

Nikon d100 camera with old manual 135mm lens ISO 200 160 sec at f16

Inspiration

as a former piolet old planes have my intrest. That was also my uncle's office in WW2 He was in the 8th army air corps and flew missions over Germany.

Editing

This is not an HDR photo post-processing was done in Lightroom 2 by pushing the sliders to the extream. exposure to over exposed, contrast to high, recovery to max. I used Photoshop to remove some spotting and blemishes in aircraft.

In my camera bag

I now carry a smaller case with a Nikon D800 and D300s, nikkor 28 to 300mm lense, a 60mm macro nikkor, 3 nd filters that when combined can adjust up to 12 stops, a polorizing filter, a remote shutter release, a gps, camera and lens cleaning supplies, various size compact flash and SD cards, also carry trusty tripod. I have been shooting Nikon for many years so I have a collection of lenses, many of which are fixed manual operating glass. They work great for special shots.
