Location
I took this portrait in a small, charming town called Middelfart. For a long time, I have wanted to come to Middelfart to portray some in these beautiful surroundings. I had long ago made an agreement with the future parents that we should immortalize the big belly. (approx. 1 month before baby's arrival). At the time we made the agreement, I did not know that Jutland was covered in snow. (It is rare that there is snow in Denmark) I was in doubt with myself whether I should change our location, - now that there was snow everywhere in Vejle where I live. I was hoping that there was also snow in Middelfart. But I was disappointed. So even though the portrait turned out exactly as desired. Then I still have this little dispute inside my head. I do not know, if it's something you can understand?Time
The photo was taken in the afternoon on the 25th. December 2021Lighting
There was fine, natural light that day.Equipment
I had both my Canon and sony camera with me this day. Pure luxury.Inspiration
It's a whole series of pictures that should depict Yasmin & Jim's love story. The special thing about this port environment is something you would be able to see if you saw the whole series of pictures. But you will also be able to sense it in the background of this image. You can just glimpse the beautiful old wooden ship in the upper left corner and the famous Little Belt Bridge. It is actually such an exotic place that you can see a lot of dolphins from here.Editing
