Location
This photo was taken in my home yard in Kierinki, north part of FinlandTime
The picture was taken at 13.15 when the sun was in sight for a short timeLighting
It was cold winter day and sun game out after Polar night.Golden light was incredibly beautiful.Equipment
This was shot on Nikon D800 with Tamron 24-70mm/2,8.Not other equipment involved.Inspiration
When i saw the golden light i go out to take Photos.Editing
I always shoot as Raw files and adjust the white balance in the Photo shop. Shooting snow is challenging to get the right white balance. I recommend always taking the white balance from the part of the picture that is in the shade. In my camera bag
Usually when i go to wilderness i have in my bag my camera Nikon D800,Tamron 24-70/2,8 and Sigma 150-600Sport to take photos from animals..Feedback
The length of the day is short in winter here in Lapland. It is good to prepare in time and dress warmly. If you want to capture the golden light, it requires patience and it is good to remember that it may not take more than a few minutes.
