From unfortunate to a jolly good time is as simple as inviting possibilities and allowing yourself to be open to a shift in mindset. In November I had spent the vast majority of the month without power, due to an error in the power companies system, long and tedious story. On one of those nights that the temp dropped almost to 20 degrees, my car was the warmest option. Around 4am I went down to the nearby Mapco to grab a warm coffee and enjoy the thick Arkansas fog that had engulfed the area. It's as routine for me as putting on pants to have my camera with me so when I saw this gorgeous Stingray Corvette pull up to refill on gas, I of course had to ask the man if I could take a few photos. He gave two or three minutes tops before he stuck his head out and asked if he could see one. To my delight he loved them and then informed me he was with some buddies at a hotel a block or so away. He mentioned the others were all parked side by side if I wanted to take more photos. Despite feeling like a child invited to Willy Wonka's, I kept my composure and accepted the offer. I gave it about thirty minutes or so before I set out for the hotel, and to my pleasure, there sat two other Stingrays and two Porsche 911s all parked in a row. Three hours, a few thousand photos, and an almost entire inability to feel my fingers, the impromptu photo shoot subsided. I exchanged contact information with the gentlemen and was, if they were pleased with the photos, invited to meet them at their neck of the woods in Texas to do more photos of a greater range of cars.

Equipment

Canon EOS Rebel T8i, Neewer monopod, and canon 22mm f/2.8 lens!

Inspiration

The composition was there and I had to incorporate them both in one shot!

Editing

Just a slight contrast and saturation reduction in lightroom. Luckily, it was already a pretty foggy morning!

In my camera bag

My 22mm and 85mm, two speed flashes, bunch of batteries, and a cleaning kit.
