We were driving East over the Rocky Mountain northern pass. As we approached the top of the pass it started to snow heavily, making it diffiuclt to drive down the Eastern slope to the town of Estes Park in the plain below. The next morning this is what we saw looking West. All the roads through the passes were closed due to the extreme snowfall, but it transformed the mountaines into a winter wonderland - breath-taking to behold.
We were thankful to have made it over the pass when we did because we would otherwise have had to drive 100 mile South to safely cross over the mountains to our destination.

I know this area well as I live here! Glad you experienced Colorado. It's dry here now and we're behind on our snowpack! Excellent picture!!
