This picture was actually taken in the US, as opposed to my other dewdrops on the rose picture (taken in Spain). It had just rained and it was still morning. Lots of water droplets just waiting to be photographed!

Behind The Lens

Location

At my cousins' house in the US. We were there for a couple of months, and who knew when we were going back, so I decided to take a lot of pictures and videos. Most of them turned out great!

Time

Morning. Around 9am I think.

Lighting

This photo was taken in the morning, so the sun was coming up. I had regular lighting. When I took this photo, I was just taking pictures as a hobby and didn't know much about the manual parts of the camera. I always had it on auto. Now I do, and I try to use them as often as I can (because I'm still learning how to use them!) If you have any tips, please let me know!

Equipment

I used my SONY DSC-HX300 camera, with no other equipment. Photography is a hobby for me right now, I don't invest too much money in it.

Inspiration

I was just walking around my cousins' house one morning, after rain, and these rose petals just looked too irresistible. I think I ended up with a pretty good picture!

Editing

I hardly ever edit my photos. I've edited them maybe a couple of times, but I usually post the original photo I took.

In my camera bag

My bag is a shoulder-slung bag, so it's not too complex. I have my camera, an extra lens cap, a small fabric to clean the lens, two extra batteries and an extra SD card, just in case.

Feedback

Make sure you capture what you want. Don't settle for something cool, go for the best. In this case, try to get only the droplets on the point of the leaf, and try to make everything else unfocused, so the viewer focuses specifically on the drops and leaf.
