De Kraai is a flour mill in Westbroek.
The mill was built in 1880 . This to replace a seesaw flour mill . This seesaw mill has been owned by the Schuurman family. A mill from 1839 from Amsterdam was used during the construction of the mill . In 1958 , during a major restoration , the mill was provided with self - yielding and made suitable for electricity generation . As a result, the original movement of the mill has largely been lost. The system was not very successful and the mill came to a standstill. In 1995 the sails cross was restored to the Old Dutch system with sails and the mill occasionally came into operation on a voluntary basis. The mill has been standing still since about 2004 due to poor maintenance. Mid 2008 restoration work started and was completed early 2012.
