Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Mabry Mill, in Virginia. It is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway at MM 176.2.

Time

It was about 9am in the morning when this was taken. The sun was just starting to peek out through the clouds.

Lighting

Early morning sunlight, as the sun started peeking through the clouds.

Equipment

I used a Canon Rebel T3 with 24-105mm/f4L lens. No flash or tripod used.

Inspiration

This gentleman was working with the National Park Service, who runs the mill area, as a volunteer. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the mill and other pioneer crafts.

Editing

No post processing.

In my camera bag

I usually carry my Canon EOS 6D mark II, along with my 17-40mm/f.4L, my 25-105mm/f.4L, and my 100-400mm/f4.5-5.6L lenses. Also usually carry my Lensball, as you never know when a creative moment might pop up.

Feedback

I would say to definitely ask people if you can take their picture. It seems rude to just snap a picture of someone without their consent.
