Travel Cityscape photography. Part of an ongoing project exploring how the architecture and design of galleries affects our experience and interaction of art itself. This image is both traditional and unusual in terms of the concept because it features human interaction with a gallery and it's artworks outside the confines of the gallery wall. The view is of the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square , London , UK and the temporary public artwork that is exhibited on the Fourth Plinth , on this occasion a big blue chicken. The architectural travel cityscape creates a juxtaposition with the way people react within a gallery. In this photograph the never changing architecture stands out like an artwork displayed in the landscape but mostly ignored , despite it's beauty , by the hubbub of tourists mingling in the square , there feels like there is very little connection or impact created by it . The contrary is true one any of these people walk within it's doors .
