Abstract Portrait Photography. A candid portrait of a street busker playing the violin with swiftness and dexterity taken on a visit to Conwy in North wales , UK. taken from a side on high POV perspective using macro techniques and a wide angle lens to create a shallow depth action image ( that was not so much a creative choice as an act of serendipity as I happened to be taking castle landscapes at the time that I spotted this musician). I particularly wanted to create a feeling of light action without having the blur that can occur with moving fingers become a distraction in the shot and this style of macro close up allowed that motion blur to infuse with the graduating blur of the background. I already had this composition worked out creatively in my mind and was just waiting for the opportunity to spot a musician to put it into action , over the years taking street photography and creating other artworks I have found considering and plotting out how a shot could look or be achieved if I came across the right circumstances was really useful to help me create some more eyecatching , storytelling compositions. This was obviously taken in natural light with a short window to achieve without causing any intrusion to the performer and it happened to be in a very shady area on an overcast day so I chose to make some alterations to colour and light saturation in edit to optimize the level of fine art style and anatomical detail as well as producing a vintage and nostalgic theme.
