One afternoon after my friends daughter had just cleaned the car I got her to allow me to do some pictures & this was the best result. It wasn't the picture that I had planned, but the result was the best result Icould achieve with the equipment I have. This was achieved using my Canon 4000D and a manual 35mm lens plus the use of 2 Godox TT600 flashes onthe front seats.Time
It was taken on a late Summer afternoon between 1500 & 1630Lighting
The only thing I first had a problem with was a Iight flare appearing from the left side of the car, which I couldn't figure at first because the car was in the shade. I suddenly realised that the source was the fact that when the car is parked the side mirrors fold inwards, thus causing the flare to appear from the flashes, Movingthe ourrois back to the driving position solved the problem after a lot of moving the flashes around.Equipment
Canon 4000D 2x Godox TT600 flashes off camera controlled by the Godox X-Pro remote. A secondhand 35mm manual lens.Inspiration
The inspiration for this was from a picture I saw of a sports car done in a similar style. I don't have a sports car & the car I had was too big to get the same result, so I decided to focus on the dashboard insteadEditing
There was just some minor st-processing to adjust the lighting to make the details stand but a little better. In my camera bag
Canon 4000D, which I find better for this type of shot than my Canon 5D. As for lenses I normally use a Canon 75-300mm, 50mm 18-55mm. I also have a selection of secondhand lenses which one all manual focus M42 thread with adaptor to fit onto the EF/EFS system these include 35mm, 135mm & 400mm plus serval others I have laying around.Feedback
Just plan a little so you have a good idea of the result, and the try the shot with several lenses as you may get some interesting results which may not be what you intend but could inspire you to do another project as it has for me, which at the moment waiting for me to find the correct vehicle for the shot.
