Location
This was taken off the laguna on Padre Island. You can see the only bridge leading to the island in the background of the picture. At night the doc is festooned with splashes from various wildlife feeding ferociously.Time
I took this at sunset. Sunset on the island leaves you prone to feeling like an outsider in such a heavenly ether.Lighting
I’m a full time student who also works part time. Most of my photos are taken in happenstance, nothing that I really go looking for. Mother Nature is to blame for the ethereal lighting.Equipment
I used my favorite camera so far, a Canon EOS 90D with a 18-55mm lens and no flash.Inspiration
Per usual I was awestruck by the earths beauty. I think you rarely find this beauty when you are looking for it. It seems it always sneaks up on you when you least expect it.Editing
For the most part the only thing I did was straighten and crop it a bit. The sunset was too pretty for me to mess with contrast etc.In my camera bag
Normally I will have any random array of camera things that I have either left in there or convince myself I will need (which I hardly ever use). It consists of at least three lens clothes, lens spray, an extra lens, at least a million sd cards and a rain poncho for the camera (though it barely rains in south Texas).Feedback
Always be ready. I think it’s very important to keep your camera with you at all times. You could miss the shot of your life it you’re not ready.
