Location
this photo was taken during the opening of 'his' square. In Bruges we have a little square, near the HQ of the Cultural Service of Brugge. Each year a cultural Celeb from Bruges gives his or her name to the square. (I am a volunteer-photographer for the cultural service of Brugge since 2014)Time
this is taken around 10 pm, he was waiting to get on stage; the cultural alderman was giving his speach. He was not posing for the photo, just waitingLighting

Canon 5Div with Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USMInspiration
i wanted to take his portrait, because he really has a strong characteristic faceEditing
I seem to be in the minority: I don't use Lightroom; but Photoshop Elements (in the expert mode) And of course I use Nik Silver Efex Pro, with lots of extra contrast. I also use NIk Viveza a lotIn my camera bag
i mostly shoot concerts (for the cultural service of Brugge) and other events. Then i always carry 2 cameras: Canon 5Div with my trusted Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM. The other camera is Canon 6Di with Tamron SP 15-30mm F/2.8 Di VC USD. I use a clone holdfast double strap. My Samyang 12mm F/2.8 ED AS NCS Fish-eye is always in my bag. And of course my customized earplugs!! The Tamron 24-70 I don't often use. When shooting churches (done during covid times) I have my Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 with Manfrotto XPRO Geared Three-way pan/tilt tripod head, and the Canon RS-60E3 remote. In my traveller bag, I have the Canon 50 mm. Sometimes i use a ND filter (breakthrough.photography)Feedback
